What we thought being a military spouse would entail: missing your spouse while on missions and TDYs as well as enduring endless hours of conversation filled with acronyms no one ever knows. What we actually signed up for: the above, plus, celebration after celebration of graduations, promotions, post deployments, and fini-flights…which usually translates to one thing in the military spouse’s brain – GIFTS.

We love giving gifts as a way to remember this special milestone for our active duty spouse, but also as a way to honor the milestone for our family! Oftentimes these ceremonies are a result of a large amount of hard work and sacrifice. We want to take the pressure off of you with these ideas in hopes they are helpful or at the very least put you on the right track to get your significant other the best gift, no matter what the celebration!

military ceremony gift guide

We feel like this is the ultimate gift. Not for the shock and awe but just a solid, every guy should have one, gift. Some of our favorites are THESE Air Force Academy ones, THESE American Flag ones, and THESE airplane propeller ones!

Customized Leather Bracelet

Such a sweet, subtle way to remind your significant other of this important day for your family anytime they’re wearing it. You can get THIS BRACELET customized with any message you like – the day of the event, location of the event, or a favorite inspirational Bible verse!

Miniature Gun Model

You might have spied a few of these on desks around the squadron – these high-quality miniature models range in size from 4-15 inches, are fun to put together, and are a great unique gift for the collector in your life! Shop GoatGun quality miniature models HERE and get 10% off of your order!

Massage

Sometimes things that are worth celebrating are also worth taking time to relax from. The gift of a massage is one of our favorites…and just might key your spouse in on a great gift idea to save for later!

Humidor

This is a perfect gift for those service members who are cigar connoisseurs! If you have ever found a cigar in a random drawer in your kitchen, office, etc. THIS customizable humidor is a MUST. We also love THIS travel option, a great gift for those that like to take their tricks on the road and want to share their best cigars with family/friends at weddings or holidays.

Spirits + Decanter

We love this gift because it’s simple, a true staple, and only takes a small amount of foresight! The trick is to find out your significant other’s favorite drink! You can get a customizable option for military members HERE. If whiskey is their favorite and you aren’t sure a glass decanter would be a hit, we love THIS mini whiskey barrel that ships quickly.

Custom Drink Smoker

THESE are of incredible quality (made in the USA!!) and such a cool way to personalize a gift that your significant other will love to use with family and friends whenever there is an excuse to celebrate! Be sure to use WAF10 for 10% off all orders.

Rocks Glasses

This gift gives you room to make it your own! There are so many Air Force themed glasses (we love THESE), Jen got her husband one with his plane on it like THIS, or you could even go with a nice crystal set like THIS.

Personalized Flask

This is another simple but thoughtful gift that could be customized with their name, graduation/promotion date, or anything really! We love THIS sleek matte black option!

Watch

This could be a hard one! There are SO many options out there and this could be such a momentous gift. You could go the smartwatch route, THIS one has tools for aviation. Or you could go in a more expensive direction with options like THIS or THIS.

Religious Gift

Kirst got her husband a Saint Joseph necklace from a local jeweler because he’s the Patron Saint of Aviation, but you can find some options like THIS online. There is also Saint Michael (like THIS ONE), the patron saint of military members, police officers and paratroopers. A family friend of Jen’s husband got him THIS engraved Airman’s Bible when he entered the service and he still has it in his bookshelf. There are so many gifts for whatever your beliefs are-these gifts can be very sentimental and intentional!

Pilot Bag

We love this gift because, while oftentimes this is an issued item to flyers, many of them don’t seem to explore what other options are out there! Jen found THIS company back when her husband first started out and now has two pilot bags through them (both are still in great condition) and her husband uses them every day!

Custom Painting

Kirst’s sister commissioned a painting of a picture of her + her significant other from a training ceremony taken in the hangar and has it hung up over the bar in their home. It’s such a cute nod to that big moment in their relationship and something everyone talks about when they see it hanging in their home. Use code “WAF10” to get 10% off of your order at THIS MILSO OWNED BUSINESS.
